Elevate your writings and memories into art with a blank journal from Painted Turtle Design!

Blank journals to commemorate and celebrate the important passages and events that mark life's journey.

Each journal is covered in wonderful hand-crafted papers imported from around the world and filled with archival blank sheets. Interior pages are either acid-free drawing paper (good for writing or sketching, not for watercolors) or other paper as mentioned. Types of filler paper and number of sheets is noted in each journal description.

A note about bindings: Bindings are noted by each photo. The smaller journals are all either Coptic binding or ring binding.

Coptic Binding: An ancient form of bookbinding. Pages are folded into signatures, and then sewn into the book with heavy waxed linen thread. Pages will not break out, as they will in glued binding, and unlike other bindings, the book will lay absolutely flay when open - not gutter in the center to work around! The decorative stitches show on the covers and on the back of the book - there is no "back" covering to the book. The photos show an example.
